Managing Extensions

Introduction of the concept

If you download and use books from other authors, those books will be read-only for you. Thus you can not add, edit or delete items.

However, you can create one or more extensions. In those extensions you can:

Note that you can also create extensions for your own books. This may be usefull if you want to sub-structure your vocabulary into several distinct modules.

Step 1: Create an extension

You can manage extensions when editing the book properties

If you download a book owned by someone else, Tokabeln will automatically create an extension for you.

You can edit the properties. You can also add or delete extensions here.

Step 2: Use the extension

When adding items to a read-only book, Tokabeln will automatically use the extension.

If there are several extensions, or if the book itself is also writable, you will be asked where the new item shall be saved to

Note: On the title bar, you can always see which extension is used currently
